Heinz Wattie's is axing around 100 jobs in New Zealand.
It has announced new streamlined structure for its Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand businesses.
Almost 250 employees across these three countries will be laid off.
Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union spokesman Norm Mouritsen says workers here are in the dark.
He's heard nothing officially, but there have been a few calls from people trying to get clarification about what's happening.
